There’s no shortage of Chrome extensions that help recruiters extract profile data from sources such as LinkedIn. Nymeria, AmazingHiring, WebClipDrop and HiringSolved’s Prophet are just a few, and there were probably a few others that launched in the time it took me to write this sentence.
And now you can add SeekOut Sourcing Assistant to the list. A free Chrome extension, Sourcing Assistant lets recruiters find and extract contact information, such as email addresses and social profiles, from pages on LinkedIn, and “soon other sites.” Users receive 10 profile record extractions each month, and additional credits can be purchased in packs of 100 or as part of a SeekOut subscription. There’s also an affiliate program for users to earn free credits.
“We think of it as sort of a free ATS or personal candidate database,” said Andy Nelson, head of marketing at SeekOut.”In addition to the usual functionality you find in similar sourcing solutions, we also let users extract candidate profiles and organize them into projects in SeekOut, and then export full profiles for free without the need for a subscription. As far as we know, we’re the only extension offering that functionality for free.”
Of course, what modern day recruiting solution would be complete with AI? SeekOut is no different, promising to give customers recommendations as candidates are saved in an account, automatically finding more candidates to add to your bucket of prospects. “SeekOut learns from the candidates you add to projects and makes intelligent recommendations of people with similar backgrounds,” wrote Anoop Gupta, co-founder and CEO of SeekOut.
Candidate records can then be exported in bulk to Excel to be uploaded into an ATS, CRM or other tool. Worried about landing on LinkedIn’s naughty list? SeekOut says there’s no need to worry, as usage isn’t detectable, “because it doesn’t inject any code on the page, so sites can’t penalize you for using it.”
Nelson says current users of competing services like ContactOut, Hiretual, Lusha, Connectifier, Prophet, Entelo will be impressed when comparing contact information. Checkout the company’s blog post to learn more.
Correction: Nelson says, “the 10 free credits a month are for getting contact info (email addresses and social profiles) of candidates. You can extract as many profiles as you’d like and export them for free, which is one thing that makes our tool so unique.”
