At SourceCon, we are always striving to improve. With every year and every conference, we implement something new, different and exciting. SourceCon is a community led conference, and we listen to all of your thoughts, comments, and suggestions. This year, we are excited to announce the changes to our upcoming Spring Conference.

New Tracks

With three sessions happening at once, it can be a little overwhelming selecting which session to attend. Let’s be honest; we tend to choose which session to attend by the title and speaker. This isn’t an abnormality but often can hinder your expectations for an informative presentation. This upcoming SourceCon will feature new tracks arranged by skill level, not by topic. We have divided each skill level into three categories:

Purple Squirrel – This isn’t your typical beginner track. This track is designed for recruiters and sourcers who are looking for more knowledge on a particular subject. You might be a novice on the topic or need improvement, everyone is different. Every sourcer has a weakness, and this track is designed to take your skills to the next level.

Purple Squirrel Sessions

How to go from Average Joe to Sourcing Pro – Matt LeBlanc
Smart Recruiting – Your Guide to Better Talent Advising Through Partnerships – Amy Miller
Source Like a Boss: Use Job Boards to Find the Right Candidates, Faster – Beth Theodore
CTRL ALT SOURCE – Maren Hogan
Sourcing Utensils You Can’t Cook Without – David Nicola

George Boole – Named after the father of Boolean, this track is intended to appeal to the masses. Often our skills fall into the category as knowledgeable, but not advanced. If you are looking to skip the basics and dive into innovative strategies and techniques, then this is the perfect track for you.

George Boole Sessions

Source Like an Athlete – Jenn Hall
Sourcing Around the Globe: The Who, What, and Where of Candidate Engagement – Ed Delgado

AND NOT: Sourcing and Engaging Outside the Space of Logic – Steve Levy
Free Sourcing Resources that are More than Meets the Eye! – Greg Hawkes

Anonymous – Appropriately named after the infamous group of international hackers, this is our most advanced and eye-opening track. An extreme knowledge and tenured history of trying to break the internet are required. These sessions will show you the most advanced tricks and hacks in sourcing.

Anonymous Sessions

Connecting the Dots: Data Layering – Randy Bailey
Drip Sourcing and Engagement Strategies from a Grandmaster – Jim Schnyder
Underground Old School Hacks – Kevin Walters
Hacking a Conference Attendee List – Aaron Lintz

All of our tracks can easily be rotated between each session. We are also offering a Sheryl Sandberg leadership track with Amybeth Quinn and Gerry Crispin. The Sheryl Sandberg track will begin during our roundtable sessions on the second day of our conference and carry over into an intimate and strategic session on day three.

Pre-Conference Workshop

You will learn a lot of new information at SourceCon, but the conference isn’t necessarily a training session. Many past attendees have suggested a formal training session, so we will be adding one with Mark Tortorici. This two-hour pre-conference workshop, How to Level the Playing Field in Sourcing, will certainly take your sourcing skills to the next level. It will also give you a lot of insight and knowledge heading into the conference. Our pre-conference workshop is jammed packed with so much sourcing information, that by attending it, you will have more selections into which tracks are best for you to attend.

Innovation Lab

Our Innovation Lab will look completely different this year. We will be offering five innovation hours throughout the conference entirely dedicated to learning, testing and experimenting with new technology. The Innovation Lab will be run by Dean Da Costa and Ronnie Bratcher. It will hold approximately 11 companies that will be present for the entire five hours. If you have a sourcing issue, problem or just simply looking for a new solution, stop by the Innovation Lab and work with the diverse selection of companies that will be waiting to help solve your problem. This will be an intimate a knowledge-sharing environment. It’s not often that you will receive access to so many different platforms and technology companies under one roof.

We Control The Robots

The theme for this year’s conference is, “We Control The Robots.” Many of our keynotes will be focusing on artificial intelligence and how it will impact sourcing. Our industry has been saying robots will replace us for years. It’s time to address the future and control the bots.

Early bird registration for SourceCon ends on January 13. Now is the time to save! You can use the discount code ANA17PURPLE to save an additional 10% at registration. You don’t want to miss this conference. We have an incredible lineup and will be bringing back our favorites: The Welcome Wagon, the Roundtables, and the SourceCon Hackathon. This year we will also be announcing our latest Grandmaster winner!

See you in March!
