Over the last few weeks, a tool known as SellHack has been creating a lot of buzz in the recruiting community. The SellHack Twitter bio reads:
“Uncover hidden email addresses and info using our browser extension’s ‘Hack IN’ button on LinkedIn profiles. Recruiters and Biz Dev productivity tool. *BETA*”
Why wouldn’t a recruiter give something like this a try? The recruiting community has obviously been enjoying the beta. SellHack posted the following tweet on Friday:
Holy smokes. Our systems are getting slammed. We have a busy weekend ahead of coding. Thanks for your patience.

The quick success they were experiencing may have been too good to be true. Earlier today, The Next Web reported that SellHack will be receiving a cease and desist from LinkedIn. The SellHack team posted this tweet 11 minutes after the Next Web article was posted:
It appears they’re still pushing forward. Let’s hope these two companies get on the same page soon. 🙂
