One of the most anticipated events at SourceCon, the SourceCon challenge, takes place each year prior to and during a SourceCon conference. During the challenge, some of the smartest sourcing minds in the business compete to solve a complex challenge using many of the skills required for internet sourcing. Needless to say, the challenge winners are a unique group of highly gifted and very technically astute sourcers. The 2013 SourceCon challenge winner, Kameron Swinton, will be sharing some of his knowledge with attendees at the upcoming event in Seattle.

Who is Kameron? Kameron is a Talent Sourcer for Microsoft. His current role involves sourcing and engaging top software development talent for Cloud + Enterprise, a $20Bn division with more than 17,000 employees. Kameron has more than 10 years of staffing experience spanning both agency and corporate recruiting. He has worked as a full-lifecycle recruiter, consultant and sourcer. He has recruited everything from accountants to engineers, and directors to scientists. Kameron is passionate about leveraging technology, automation and a splash of boolean logic to simplify his sourcing efforts. He is a native of San Diego where he lives with his wife and two children.

Kameron’s presentation, Five Habits of Highly Effective Sourcers, will take place on day 2 of the fall event as a part of the fundamentals track. He shared some of the details of his presentation during a recent episode of SourceCon Live.
