They say everything is bigger in Texas. Well, count this fall’s SourceCon among those things.
We’re growing and that’s forced us to move the next SourceCon from the Frito-Lay headquarters to down the street at the Westin Stonebriar. While this is good news for SourceCon (we have drastically outgrown a lot of venues that used to be viable for us), I know it is always fun to have it at corporate locations. Especially ones with such a great sourcing team supporting them.
Plus, I was hoping to find some of those old SunChip bags that were super loud.
In all seriousness—and for those who don’t routinely plan conferences—we make these arrangements as much as a year in advance. When we made the initial arrangements, that was before the Biggest SourceCon Ever™ in Atlanta earlier this year. While we always like to anticipate growth, ultimately it doesn’t follow any scientific formula.
We’re happy to have Pepsico, the parent company of Frito-Lay, continue to partner with SourceCon as we bring all of these sourcers to the Dallas metroplex. And it would be hard to not mention Jeremy Roberts who has also been a huge resource for us there and is busy prepping the SourceCon After Dark for all of the attendees there.
This is also a good time to mention that we recently redesigned the SourceCon event page. Check it out when you get the chance:
If you have any questions, feel free to hit me up. And if you haven’t registered, then what are you waiting for? Hopefully we’ll see you in Dallas.
