LinkedIn held a live stream event today to announce several new products. The most interesting development for sourcers, in my opinion, is the new Rapportive integration.
Sourcers who are already using Rapportive with Gmail will be familiar with the basic functionality. In a nutshell, Rapportive is able to give background information about people you are communicating with via email without leaving your inbox. Rahul Vohra, the CEO of Rapportive, which was acquired by LinkedIn in 2012, took the stage to announce LinkedIn Intro, a tool that brings the functionality of Rapportive to your iPhone mail app.
