Note: We didn’t run this on Friday and Dean’s audience wasn’t happy. This is a part of the Free Tool Friday series with Dean DaCosta. Each week, Dean provides a short description of one of his favorite browser addons, apps, or extensions. We originally planned for this series to run in July and August. However, due to the popularity of the series, it will continue until Dean runs out of tools to share.
Domain Availability Checker is a Chrome addon that allows you to quickly check who owns a domain. As you may know, in about 60% of the cases, whoever owns the domain will list their email, phone number, and address, which means this tool becomes a contact finding gem.
As you can see above the addon sits in your ribbon and when you click on it, it gives you a place to input a domain.
Above you is part of a LinkedIn Profile for a potential candidate. Note that they have a personal website.
Above you see the results from when I put the candidates domain name in the addon and searched. The results show we found his email address, phone, and home address (I did cover up some of the info, but it was all there). The best part is that I did not have to leave the page I was on to do this.
Until next week, enjoy the tool.
